What is the biggest city in north carolina?

ive been to north carolina four times in the past year. And ive been to Charlotte, Winston Sale, Greensboro and Asheboro. I really thought charlotte was big and mayb a litte dangerous in some parts but winston salem was big too i thought with quite a few industries... just wondering if Charlotte is the biggest??? bigger than Raleigh and Durham and what is raleigh like/??
