If my dad rents a townhouse in his name can I live there and pay rent and bills without being on the lease?

we live in ontario canada J have bad credit so the LL told my dad to rent in his name and keep us off the lease how does that work at income tax time if I pay the rent and the bills in my name cause the rent receipt will be in his mane
