Does Durham University take into account the GCSE's attained in the application process?

Basically, i want to apply to Durham/Exeter/Sussex/Sheffield later this year but i have been told certain things about Durham's selection process. I would like to study a BSc Geography course but i'm afraid that my GCSE grades will not be sufficient as apparently they have a "minimum A* quota". Currently i am at a very good grammar school for sixth form whereas previously i was at a state school of a reasonable standard in which i received 2 A*'s and 9 A's at GCSE. My prediction for AS levels are AAAAA and for A2, it is currently A*AA approx. What chance do i stand of getting into Durham to study geography with these gcse's (bearing in mind the secondary school i attended was not particularly fantastic) and the current predicted grades i have in my new school?
